Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
You need one of the following from an institution recognised by the Gujarat Nursing Council or the Indian Nursing Council:
- B.Sc Nursing, or
- Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM)
Other requirements:
- Basic computer knowledge
- Working knowledge of Gujarati, Hindi, or both
- Registration with the Gujarat Nursing Council. If you are not registered yet, you must complete it before appointment.

Selection Process
Selection happens in three stages: a written examination, a merit list based on combined marks, and document verification, followed by the final list and waiting list. You must qualify in Paper I and Paper II separately, and merit is decided on your total score across both.

The written test has two MCQ papers worth 200 marks in total.

For the first five years, selected candidates receive a fixed salary of ₹40,800 per month. After completing five years, they become eligible for regular appointment in Pay Level 5, with a scale of ₹29,200 to ₹92,300, subject to government conditions.
